The bridges of 1987 are lifting all around
Stronger than those of newer vintage, thick and rich in sound
They only happen once but they snare you in their traps
The bridges of 1987 will never, ever collapse
Do you remember what we did back then?
I have doubt, I blocked it out
Was that the greatest time of life back then?
I think not, those days can rot
But when I have the strangest of emotions
That I can't resist rhyming with "oceans"
It's because I hear a song blaring from a speaker above
And I know what year it's from
The bridges of 1987 are lifting all around
Stick like honey to synaptic towers, hooks so tightly bound
The great ones don't repeat, they need no exit map
The bridges of 1987 will never, ever collapse
Do we need to dwell in history?
Rewrite it, no - let it go
Recollections reek of fakery
My tight throat can't find the notes
That can properly spell out my real feelings
You'll find more poise in a group of pre-teens
They're the ones who hear new songs
The ones to which we don't respond
But you know one day will wind them up
This is why we are doomed to repeat the past
The bridges of 1987...

This is simply brilliant music from an incredibly talented individual who I think very likely sang every harmony and played every instrument on this album! There is a freeness and happiness to this music that makes you feel the joy of existence! Day’s Sgt. Pepper and only the first solo record out of the gate! This is the sound of a musician at the top of their craft. I am very proud of Day and this creation- a magnificent, pop opus! Nathaniel T. Lesser

"15 songs crammed on one CD," this is how The Kickstand Band sum up their bright idea which consisted in gathering their three digital EPs on one CD for the joy of those who, like me, still enjoy having the music they love in physical format with cover art included. POPPHIL
